The Inspiration behind it all...
Bill Pierce Trucking Brokerage LLC is a veteran owned freight logistics company located in Fort Myers, FL. It was established in November 2021 as a tribute to the entrepreneurial spirit of William Valentine Pierce, a local businessman whom owned and operated several businesses within the Dunbar community over a span of +50 years. As a U.S. Air Force Vietnam veteran, Bill returned to the Fort Myers area after his discharge from active duty in 1971. He began working as a sales clerk at Styland Men's Clothing Store and would eventually purchase Styland and operate the store for +45 years. Over the years Bill also owned and operated a car dealership, vehicle repair shop, insurance company, Western Union store, and two bail bonds businesses. In addition, he provided notary services and published "The Palm City Digest" within the Dunbar community. Bill was well known to be a consummate professional and a pillar of his family and the Dunbar community alike. Bill passed away due to complications from cancer in October 2021.
The Owner...
Tyrone Jones, 1st cousin to Bill, currently runs day-to-day operations and is also a veteran of the U. S. military. His 21 years of service includes; 8 years active duty in the U.S. Army, 3 years in the South Carolina Army National Guard, and 10 years in the Virginia Army National Guard. His overseas service included deployments to "Operation Enduring Freedom" - Kosovo and "Operation New Dawn" - Iraq. Tyrone retired honorably in March 2013. His goal is to live up to Bill’s mantra of Prosperity for All.
